On the calendar
The 2027 Regionals merchandise collection has been previewed for North America and Europe, ahead of the season's first events in September. Event merch is genuinely scarce — sold at one venue, in limited quantity, with no restock — which is why playmats are usually gone first.
A Zarude 2-pack blister ($9.99, two boosters and a coin) arrives in stores this month, filling the gap before 30th Celebration launches worldwide on September 16.
How we judge a drop
Scarcity is often manufactured. We try to separate the three cases:
- Genuinely limited — event-only items, one venue, no restock
- Limited at launch, restocked later — most Pokemon Center exclusives
- Perpetually available — standard retail lines dressed up as a drop
Only the first justifies paying a premium.

Pokemon Center orders cancelled after a shipping company was hacked
Customers of the official Pokemon store in the United Kingdom and Germany had details exposed and orders cancelled. The breach happened at CEVA Logistics, the shipping firm, and it also hit Steam hardware buyers in Europe.
