The sets that matter right now
30th Celebration is the anniversary set, releasing worldwide on September 16 — a same-day global date, which is unusual and points to heavy demand in every region. The full English lineup is out, and the booster packs are only sold inside larger products, never on their own. Every pack holds five foil cards, one of them from a run of 30 different Pikachu. Reveals so far include Meowth and Alolan Meowth with Illustration Rares, Espeon ex and Umbreon ex, a Pikachu drawn by original artist Ken Sugimori, and day and night versions of Pikachu ex. Japan also gets a Futuristic Box holding two Pikachu ex promos, at 27,500 yen (about $171).
Storm Emeralda is Japan's sixth Mega Evolution set: 76 main-set cards, Mega Rayquaza ex on the cover, and a new split Stadium card type. In English it is called Delta Reign, it has 113 cards, and it arrives on November 6. Early Japanese price data has Mega Rayquaza ex well ahead of the field.
Ruler of the Skies is the parallel B4 set in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket — 233 cards, also headlined by Mega Rayquaza ex, shipping with deck sharing and higher rarity pulls.

The scalping fight
The Pokemon Company has escalated hard against resellers this year: Japan's official Pokemon Card stores are moving to facial recognition for entry and purchases, and some 30th Anniversary products are being restricted to Japanese residents. Card Party is a new Pokemon card show built around playing, not selling
PokeBeach reports a set of fan-run Pokemon Trading Card Game conventions called Card Party, announced for 2026, that put community ahead of buying and selling. No dates or cities have been announced yet.
Free Worlds Pikachu card at GameStop, Best Buy and Hot Topic to August 30
PokeBeach reports that select stores are handing out a Worlds Pikachu promo card with any Pokemon Trading Card Game purchase, from August 22 through August 30. It is in stores only, not online.
Delta Reign is out November 6, with prereleases from October 24
The English version of Storm Emeralda has been fully revealed. Delta Reign is led by Mega Rayquaza ex, and prerelease events run October 24 to November 1.
