Pokemon Pokopia's Feebas event runs until August 28
A limited-time event called Fetching Scales for Feebas is live in Pokemon Pokopia until August 28, 2026. It adds Feebas and Milotic, plus scales to collect and new habitats to build.
Pokemon Pokopia has a new limited-time event, and it is already running. Fetching Scales for Feebas started on August 13 and finishes on August 28, 2026. Two Water-type Pokemon come with it.
Limited time means what it says. Once August 28 passes, the event content goes away, and Pokopia's previous events have worked the same way.
How it works
A Feebas turns up outside a Pokemon Center and gives you a job. You go and find a currency for it, and you trade that currency back for new items. Those items go towards building several new habitats, which is Pokopia's word for the areas you shape for Pokemon to live in.
Nintendo Life's guide points to Prism Scales as the thread running through the event, and to Milotic at the end of it. Feebas and Milotic are the two Pokemon here, and they come from Generation 3, meaning the Ruby and Sapphire era of games.
If you have done a Pokopia event before, none of this shape will surprise you. Somebody asks, you fetch, you unlock. The reward is the building material.
Why Feebas is a good pick for this
Feebas has a reputation, and it is not a flattering one. It is a plain-looking fish that is famously hard to find in the mainline games, and it turns into Milotic, which is one of the better-looking Pokemon in the series. The gap between the two is the whole point of the character.
Building an event around fetching scales leans straight into that. You put the work in on something unremarkable, and the payoff is the pretty one. For a game about slowly making a place nicer, it fits better than most guest appearances would.
What to do if you only have a few evenings
Two weeks sounds like plenty and it is not, particularly with a limited-time event that expects a daily-ish rhythm. A short plan:
- Start now, not next weekend. Events that hand out currency usually cap how much you can gather at once.
- Spend on habitat items first. Those are the part that stays in your world after August 28.
- Do not skip the fetch steps hoping to buy your way past them. Pokopia events run on the collecting.
The bigger picture for Pokopia
This is the third or so piece of Pokopia news we have covered in a fortnight, after the free 2.0 update, the Bubbly Basin add-on and a run of tips content. The game is being kept busy on purpose. Short seasonal events between paid add-ons are how a life sim holds onto players through a quiet month.
We do not have anything official on what follows this event, or on when part two of the Expansion Pass arrives. Those add-ons are the extra chunks of game you buy on top of the base game, and the second one has been announced without a date.
